How did you get to the main event of the WSOP?
It was not so easy! I arrived in Vegas for two weeks before the main event to play in the women's tournament and a couple of other smaller tournaments: 1500 and 2000 NL NL. Almost all the Spanish media were very interested in covering my game, especially in the women's tournament, so I often appeared on television, in magazines and on radio before and after my trip to Las Vegas, which has caused a great stir in the media, but not yielded virtually no results. I perceived myself as a representative of the poker community of Spain and thought it would be very nice to return to Las Vegas to take part in the main event, though I very well knew that this tournament was not scheduled in my calendar. After a brief discussion 888 decided that I should play there, and then I promised myself that I won it! In a sense, these words of mine come true.

What can you advise poker enthusiasts who dream to become professionals?
I think the whole point of approach. If you want to achieve something, you can not just sit back and quietly wait for it to happen. We must gather all their energies and concentrate fully on their objectives. In any thing, no matter how good it is, always has its drawbacks, but if you are to it really strive for, these shortcomings would be irrelevant to you. Life of professional players are often overrated. People want to see only the good side of life: wealth, travel, money, parties in different countries. All this, of course, important, but the life of a professional player first and foremost requires incredible discipline and perseverance. I do not think that someone will be able to withstand it, if there is no genuine love for their work.
